MASTER’S MESSAGE

My Brothers,

This is an exciting year for us with many great things ahead! We are into the second year of the two year term for our District Deputy Grand Master R\W\Neil Bonesteel and the Grand Sword Bearer, R\W\A Richard Dzembo, and have seen all of the exciting things they have done in the district this last year. This year promises to bring even more success. Our lodge also has the pleasure of congratulating V\W\Jason Dzembo for his appointment as Assistant Grand Lecturer for our district. These three provide a powerful team to promote Masonry in our district, and it is an honor to have Mt. Zion lodge as their home lodge.

Building off the innovations introduced by W\Jason Dzembo last year, ideas such as the Masonic education minute, I hope to maintain a focus on learning and education. Our craft has provided light to the world for centuries, and the only way that light is passed on is through teaching.

One area our lodge has as a strength is our ritual, and we are blessed with members that truly show a passion for ritual. I hope to foster an environment for learning where we can engage others to expand our strong core of degree work. This year presents an excellent opportunity to refine and improve our ritual since we have the honor of the AGL as one of our own.

Membership is something I would like to encourage, both active participation from our established members, and also to have everyone seek out and introduce worthy men to become Masons with Mt. Zion. Friendship and brotherhood are some of the touchstones that make our lodge a special place, and I hope to be able to help our family grow. This is our lodge, and with all of our continued active participation, this year will be fantastic, and I am excited to work with all of you to make it such!
